The McDowell County Public Library provides materials and services for the purpose of serving the information needs of the community.
The library has materials for all ages, including books, magazines, movies, music, audio books, and e-books. To get a library card, bring a current photo ID with your correct mailing address. Children under 17 will need the signature of a parent or legal guardian. Story times are offered at the Marion and Old Fort branches. Public computer use and free wireless internet access are also available. The library also offers faxing, printing, and photocopying.
