Responsible for operating solid waste and recycling heavy equipment in compliance with established
guidelines and procedures.
Position performs duties that include identifying, pushing, and packing trash and construction debris;
identifying and removing items not allowed to be disposed of at transfer station; moving trailers;
identifying, loading, and ensuring that all recyclables are property transferred.
Cleaning chutes and facilities daily; removing litter from site and assisting the public.
Completing other duties as assigned.
Responsible for operating all equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of
injury, property damage or loss of life.
Performs any daily safety equipment checks.
Reports directly to Transfer Station Supervisor
ENVIRONMENTAL: Outside 95% Inside 5%
Preferred experience in operating heavy equipment.
Certification from the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) or will be required to obtain such
certification during employment.
